The loft
How many people does the loft sleep?
Six. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, plus a king bed and two couches in the open living room, and one full bathroom. Six guests is the maximum, and only registered guests may stay overnight.
Is the loft up stairs?
Yes. The loft is on the second floor of an 1875 building, reached by stairs, and stairs are part of the character of a building of that age. If anyone in your party would find that difficult, please ask before booking and the owner will talk you through the entrances.
What is in the loft?
Three thousand square feet with a full kitchen stocked with cookware and coffee, the building's original 1875 pool table, a large projection television, fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace, and a private deck out the back looking over the Lower Mill Pond and the old railroad line.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes. The loft is air conditioned.
Is there a washer and dryer?
Yes, there is laundry in the loft and you are welcome to use it. Leave the bedding to the owner though: he takes care of washing that between stays.
Arriving and staying
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, with an arrival window until 10:00 PM. Early check-in is not available. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
How do I get in?
Self check-in by keypad. Your code is emailed to you two days before you arrive, so there is no key to collect and nobody to meet.
Where do I park?
There is free parking on the premises, plus street parking on Main Street and a public lot behind the building.
Can I bring a pet?
Not unless the owner has approved it in writing before you arrive. Ask first and he will tell you either way.
Is smoking allowed?
No. There is no smoking anywhere on the premises, indoors or out.
Can I host a party or an event?
No. The loft is for the six registered guests staying in it. Parties and events are not permitted.
Is there anything I should know about noise?
The loft sits directly above working Main Street businesses and sound carries in both directions. Please keep music down before 7:00 PM. After that you are unlikely to trouble anyone.
Paying and cancelling
How does payment work?
A one-night deposit is charged when the owner approves your dates, which is what holds them. The remaining balance is charged automatically 28 days before check-in, or together with the deposit if you are booking inside 28 days.
Is there a security deposit?
No. Nothing is held on your card. You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear, and if something does happen the owner will raise it with you directly and the two of you will agree how to put it right.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancel 30 or more days before check-in and everything paid is refunded. Between 7 and 30 days, half is refunded. Inside 7 days there is no refund. Separately, a booking cancelled within 48 hours of the deposit being charged is refunded in full, as long as check-in is still more than 7 days away.

Where exactly is it?
