The Milford Opera House was built on Main Street in 1875. Its upper floor is now a 3,000-square-foot loft: one big open room with exposed brick and tall windows over downtown, two bedrooms with queen beds, a king bed in the living area, one bath, and a full kitchen.

The common area has a large projection television and the building’s original 1875 pool table. Out the back, a private deck looks over the Lower Mill Pond and the old railroad line. It sleeps six, and you’re a short walk from downtown restaurants, coffee, and shops.

Booking and payment

Requests are approved personally by the owner. On approval, a one-night deposit holds your dates; the balance is charged automatically 4 weeks before check-in. Secure payments by Stripe.

Damage

Treat a 150-year-old building the way you would want to find it. If something does get damaged, tell the owner and the two of you will agree how to put it right.

Cancellation

Cancel 30 or more days before check-in and you get everything back. Between 30 and 7 days, half. Inside 7 days, nothing. Two exceptions, both in your favour: cancel within 48 hours of booking and it is a full refund as long as check-in is still more than a week away, and if your cancelled dates get booked by someone else, your refund goes up to match.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in from 3:00 PM, with an arrival window until 10:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM. Self check-in: the front door uses the August app, or there is a keypad code on the back door, and the details come two days before you arrive. No smoking. No parties. No pets, though a trained service animal is always welcome.
